How to train like the 1%:

The blueprint you’re not following

So the other day, I’m sitting watching my son grind through summer football practice.

As I watch him, something hits me.

A memory.

A lesson.

Right now, I’m in my own training cycle:

  • 6 days a week of training

  • 3 days of heavy lifting

  • 3 days of bodyweight work

  • 2 days of running (1 mile each — soon back to 2 miles)

This is my standard. It’s rooted in my time in the military. And it’s the blueprint for anyone who wants to touch the 1%.

See, people overcomplicate the 1%. They think it’s about money or fancy titles. But that’s not the starting line.

They live by standards. Ruthless, daily standards.

Here’s the reality:

  • You train every single day.

  • You get your work done before 8AM.

  • You own your schedule before your day owns you.

  • You run, you push, you pull, you lift.

  • You demand more of yourself, physically and mentally.

In the military, to be elite, I had to:

  • Run 2 miles in under 13 minutes.

  • Knock out 100 push-ups.

  • Hit 80 sit-ups.

Simple. Brutal. Achievable — but only if you choose to chase it.

This is where most people lose. Standards sound good in theory, but few enforce them. That’s why most never make it.

In the military, even the elite didn’t always have money. But they had discipline. They had structure. The financial growth came later as they ranked up and executed on the standards they built.

It’s no different in life or business.

  • Set standards so high they make you uncomfortable.

  • Build habits that anchor your day.

  • Treat your life like your rank depends on it — because it does.

You want to be the 1%? Then train like it.

Attack every day!
